Eleven developmentally and appropriately designed classroom with the ages and stages of the child in mind. As children grow and develop they move up from room to room and encounter new challenging environments to enhance their learning and creativity.
The learning environment is rich in literacy activities from infants thru school-age. Social skills are encouraged on an everyday basis and viewed as a primary skill to master even with the youngest of our children. Socially skilled, interactive children are able to learn through their creativity, imaginations and their listening skills. Therefore allowing behavioral issues to be kept at a minimum and a fun learning environment for children of all ages.
Keeping in mind that all children do not progress or develop at the same level or age and social skills are sometimes mastered earlier or later depending on the child. A child's age does not necessarily equate with where he is at socially or developmentally. Each child is placed, based on these two skills and more importantly in a classroom where he has the chance to be successful in his environment and learning. Children who are successful, build self esteem and truly feel good about themselves as little people.
Children from infancy up have structured learning in their day. Their learning is based on themes as well as "teachable moments". As the child progresses socially and developmental, we look at moving the child up to the "Jump-start 3's" Preschool Program or our 4's-5's Preschool Program. Each child is allowed the opportunity of these programs. Sometimes, children either developmentally or socially cannot handle these programs and have difficulty in being successful. Assessments are made and adjustments are made with the child's success in mind. Children may be moved back for a period of time and tried again when it is determined that the child may have a better success in the program. We would much rather have a child be successful then have a child upset and develop behavioral issues. We believer this is the important part of the child's growth in these early years.

Toddler Village Child Care & Learning Center was established by the Director/Owner who owned and operated a Licensed Family Home and a Licensed Group Home Child Care for over 20 years. She also provided hundreds of children a learning environment in preparation for the years ahead of them in a public or private school.
Children learn by thematic activities in a play based environment. Enrollment from an infancy to their young teens gives children a broad range of learning activities. Social Skills, working with other children, developing language, small and large muscle activities, develop emotional and physical skills. Hand and eye coordination activities start early and continue thru the preschool program. Children work in small groups as well as large groups with toys, games and learning activities. Having fun playing not knowing that they are learning.
Literacy skills, reading and math are developed while simple tasks and activities that relate to the theme or story that is read. Simplified word walls, pocket charts, chants, rhymes, songs and poems are also in the program.
Our three year old Preschool Program is called Jump Start 3's. While our 4's and 5's continue with Preschool at a Higher Level.
Through out these next few pages you will find information on our programs that enable children to be the best they can be prior to starting Kindergarten in public or private school. So come on in and visit.
